Empowering youth who are touched by the foster and juvenile justice systems to develop positive & self-sustaining lives.
The Coalition for Engaged Education is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that stands for the right of our most vulnerable youth to realize their full potential through relationships that treat them with dignity and respect.
We believe that by providing youth who are touched by the foster and juvenile justice systems an opportunity to pursue their goals, it will increase their chances of success and decrease the risk of recidivism.
Our mission is to empower society's most vulnerable youth to develop positive and self-sustaining lives by igniting their passion through engaged education, arts education and career exploration.
Since 1995, the Coalition has helped thousands of youth transition into stable, fulfilling lives.
Our C/HOPE program for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youth has successfully redirected many of our students into independent schools, colleges, and/or the main stream workforce and has significantly reduced the recidivism rate as compared with county rates.
Our C/FORWARD program supports foster youth to complete high school and higher education.
