The Coalition for Engaged Education empowers youth impacted by the justice and foster care systems. With compassionate social support, education, and advocacy for systemic change, we serve young people as they develop positive, self-sustaining lives.

EDUCATION.   EMPLOYMENT.   POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS.   SELF-ADVOCACY.   ARTS.   OPPORTUNITY.

The Coalition for Engaged Education is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that uses individualized mobile case management  as well as group activities to empower system-impacted youth, ages 14-24, to transition into stable, fulfilling lives.

We believe that by providing guidance and assistance to these youth gives them the opportunity to pursue their goals, increase their chances of success, and decrease the risk of recidivism. Since 1995, the Coalition has helped thousands of youth achieve their academic and career goals; as well as realize their full human potential.

"I think mentoring helps a lot. You can get a different perspective or different view or different thinking overall. You know, just having that extra support or someone that you connect to, someone that you could talk to when you need to or when you feel like giving up."
                                                                                                                                  -Arnold C., C/HOPE alumni

Our C/HOPE program for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youth has successfully redirected many of our students into independent schools, colleges, and/or the main stream workforce and has significantly reduced the recidivism rate as compared with county rates.
